I had never photographed something like that before. It was different, but pretty exciting to be a part of. The brides dress was hand made by her mother in law, and it was just beautiful. I loved how colorful everything was.  Although I couldn’t understand most of what was said, I was still able to pick up on the very strong traditions of the family  and what an emotional time it was for everyone involved.

Wow. It was awesome. SO much stuff. I love love love antique malls. There’s stuff in there you won’t find anywhere else.  There’s 2 floors  & We spent 2 & 1/2 hours there and I only explored the first one! Dave made it through the whole thing, and he was definitely ready to go before I was.  So since I didn’t make it through , that just means I have to make another trip soon to explore the rest ;)

I walked away with a nice vintage leaf bracelet, old kitchen towels that say wednesday, thursday & friday on them  ( I guess this means I can only do dishes on those days, yeeessss ) & some amazing old photographs. If I go into an antique store, and they are selling old photographs, you better believe I’m gonna buy some.

So these are the pictures of some of the things that I didn’t make it home with, but hopefully they’re there when I go back!

Purses anyone? I couldn’t even capture the magnitude of purses in this booth, they stretched all the way down  the shelf to the left & there was another shelf behind me. The were color coordinated. Purse paradise.

Old books really are the best. That blue has to be my favorite color. The covers are always so colorful & the titles of the books, well, you just can’t beat them. I wouldn’t mind a whole library of old books, not for reading, but for gazing upon. And reading the titles for a little chuckle.

I wanted both of these little cuties.. so bad.

Creeeepy.  Weird thing is, I think this is a napkin holder.

Look up most adorable cat in the dictionary…. this picture will pop up.

I wish.

We ate some lunch at this place a few stores down. It was pretty good. We had a nice panini & some extra sweet green tea.

Oh, and here’s Dave. ♥

It was such a delight to photograph the Stayers. They had smiles on their faces the whole time, ( well, except for the little guy, but I managed to snap some pictures of his smile when he thought I wasn’t lookin’!) and I’m pretty sure they had as good a time as I did.

I’m not sure you’ll be able to handle all the cuteness in this post, but please try, it will be worth it!

Last  weekend Dave and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary. It’s craaaazy  how 2 years can fly by so fast!

We headed up to Sedona Az for the weekend, were we stayed at a place that was built right  on a little river . It was nice, I got to spend some quality time with my guy plus the weather decided to be nice and give us some lovely rain showers. :)  Everything was so green and lush.  It was  nice to feel like we were out of the desert, even if it was only for the weekend. ;)

(P.S. I’m not sure where my body went in this picture.. but it’s there, I promise.)

The air was thick with humidity & bugs were buzzing around our heads  being annoying as they could be,  but that was ok,  cause it was worth it.

I don’t think a 1st  birthday party can get much better than this. The Wong  family put on a huge luau complete with a pool, pinatas, food, music and great company.   Little Giavannah was the star of the party,of course! As family & friends were greeted at the door, I could tell this was a close-knit family.   They were all so excited to see Giavannah, and she looked adorable in her little  hula skirt and coconut top! Despite the hot weather , I think everyone had a pretty good time.. I know I did!

I’ve been eagerly awaiting this moment and I’m so exited to share this with all of you!

I’m so grateful I was  asked to  collaborate with Galaxie & Monique Martinez for this beautiful, woodsy eclectic photo shoot. We traveled to Heber Az to find a beautiful backdrop, and the sun was definitely on our side! It was so refreshing to feel a cool breeze in the air and the warm sun on my face as I ran around capturing all the beautiful things I could get my eyes on. Everyone was so amazing, there was so much talent being poured out it was unreal.  I’d never been involved in something quite like this, and I feel it has opened  my eyes to some  new creativeness. Even being so exhausted from a day of visual overload, it somehow felt good, and completely worth it.

And I have to say, Monique is simply a creative genius with these dresses,  I love each and every one!  So beautiful.
